Tuesday, April 3
4:00 pm - Early Convention Registration- The Inn at Ole Miss
5:30 pm – Welcome Reception- MBA Tailgating Party
Join your fellow mortgage bankers in the Ole Miss Grove to kick off the 2012 MS MBA Convention. Wear your favorite sports team attire and join in the tailgating fun. The Ole Miss Grove is famous for great gatherings, so come early and don’t miss this exciting kick-off party.
Wednesday, April 4
8:00 am- Pre-Game: Convention Registration
8:30 am- Opening Kickoff - Welcome / Business Meeting
8:45 am- Conflict Resolution On and Off the Field
No team can be effective without some skills in resolving conflicts. Where there are people, there will be conflict. Having proven tools and skills to deal with these sometimes intimidating situations will further enhance the quality of life in the organization and ensure your team’s long-term success. Mississippian and coach, Deborah Tierce, will lead this exciting and upbeat opening session.

11:00 am- Conflict Resolution with Deborah Tierce- (continued)
12:00 pm- Halftime Show - MBA Annual Awards Luncheon
1:30 pm- Time Out: The Rules of the Game Have Changed- Mortgage lending in light of Dodd-Frank and the new CFPB is changing at a rapid rate. Know the new rules and how to navigate the regulatory maze is key to success in today’s hyper regulated financial services industry. Coach and attorney Ed Wilmesherr with the firm of Butler Snow will lead this informative session.
3:00 pm- Break & Refreshments in Exhibit Hall- Both Browsing
3:30 pm- The Huddle – Program Updates with Rural Development and MS Home Corp.- Every player needs to a thorough knowledge of all the tools available to move the ball down the filed. Join coaches from USDA -Rural Development and MS Home Corporation as they explain how to execute the big plays using their specialty loan programs.
6:15 pm- Wine and Cheese Sponsor Appreciation Reception in the Exhibit Hall
7:00 pm- Let’s Ride – Ride the red, double-decker bus to the Oxford Square and enjoy a night on your own with friends and fellow mortgage bankers. Attendees can dine and a number of several great restaurants all within walking distance and just enjoy a casual evening and the fun of the square. (The Inn at Ole Miss will run return shuttle service back to the hotel up until 12:00 pm)

8:45 am- Mastering the Playbook- FHA Lending in 2012
Mastering your playbook is critical to any team. Come join us for the timely and information session where we’ll learn the new role of FHA in today’s lending market, discuss where FHA’s underwriting philosophy is today, and how to stay out of trouble and avoid those penalities that can cause any team to lose the game.
