Andy Blake has worked in single family at FHA since 1990 when he was hired as a staff appraiser in the Jackson HUD Field Office. In 1998, when the Atlanta Homeownership Center was created, Mr. Blake became an out stationed employee of the Atlanta HOC’s Program Support Division. From 1998 through 2013, Mr. Blake’s single family duties included: appraisal reviews, REO inspections, outreach, and marketing, monitored housing counseling agencies and performed grant reviews.
In February 2013, Mr. Blake was reassigned from the Program Support Division to the Appraisal Branch, Processing & Underwriting Division, Atlanta Homeownership Center, as a staff appraiser but continues to work out of the Jackson, MS, HUD Field Office. His main duties include performing FHA appraisal desk and field reviews throughout the Atlanta HOC jurisdiction, conducts reo inspections in the State of Mississippi and responds to single family inquiries that come into the FHA Resource Center.
He obtained a business degree from Mississippi State University where he majored in Real Estate & Mortgage Finance. He has maintained a license as a certified residential appraiser since 1992 and been licensed as a real estate broker since 1990. He currently resides in Madison, MS, with his wife Vicki and fourteen-year-old son, Harper. He is a member of the Craftsman’s Guild of Mississippi and creates Southwestern style arts and crafts. He enjoys the great outdoors and spends time hiking and backpacking in the mountains and wilderness areas throughout the Southwest, Ozarks and Appalachians.
